The \’Winging It\’ System

When you go into something with no plan, the results are hit and miss. We call this ‘winging it’.

Just like me at Top Golf here on the Gold Coast, just swing and hope it hits. Sometimes the club would meet the ball and that thing would fly, but sometimes it was like this. A wild swing with nothing but air.

When I stopped to think about what I was doing, hands in the right spot, eye on the ball, feet at an angle (because I’m a terrible slicer), I hit that ball. Every time. And bloody well to! The results suddenly became a lot more predictable.

I love nothing more than winging some things (camping trips especially!) but when it comes to your systems, winging them can leave you going around in circles and repeating things you shouldn’t be repeating leaving you confused and exhausted. If you manage to get to your endpoint, it will be from a different spot, in a different amount of time and with a different method each time.

So do them properly. Have a plan. Know that what you are trying to do is going to get you that outcome you want in the shortest, most efficient way possible.
